► Your child may become VERY sick.
►Throwing up frequently and green bile.
►They may not want to eat.
►They may be restless.
►Lethargic~ not wanting to do much.
►Higher respiratory rate
►Laying in certain positions to ease pain and not getting comfortable.
►Fever
►Eyes can be dark and sucken in if dehydrated.
►Difficult breathing.
►A popping sound in abdomen can sometimes be heard.
(They can have one, many or all these signs.)
IF IN DOUBT TAKE THEM TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM.
~Sometimes there is no signs at all. Be sure an keep your CDH follow-up appointments with your child's Surgeon or Doctor. X-rays and CT scans are great ways to diagnose a reherniation or recurrence of the diaphragm.
